Abeer Ali

The Egyptian and Berlin-based artist is a captivating force in the world of theatre performance, music production, and art direction. With a profound dedication to her craft, she has created a unique artistic identity that seamlessly weaves together her Egyptian heritage and the vibrant cultural tapestry of Berlin. At the heart of her creative journey lies a deep and unwavering commitment to highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment.

Abeer’s performances are a celebration of womanhood, a poetic exploration of the strength and resilience that women embody. Through her powerful storytelling, she brings to life the narratives of women who have defied odds, shattered glass ceilings, and reclaimed their voices in a world often dominated by silence. Her artistry is a testament to the transformative power of theatre and music as tools for social change.

In Abeer’s work, you will find a rich fusion of cultural influences, a harmony of East and West, where traditional melodies intertwine with contemporary rhythms, and ancient stories find relevance in the modern world. Her performances are a bridge between cultures, an invitation to explore the universal themes of love, loss, and liberation.

Abeer as  a visionary artistic director is also deeply enthralled by the intimate connection between the human body and nature. Recently, she has delved into the Japanese practice of “shinrin yoku”, a transformative process of therapeutic relaxation that involves immersing oneself in a lush forest or natural setting, allowing the senses to engage and form a profound bond with the environment through working on her last project “Safi”. Abeer is also entranced by the art of food culture and mindfulness eating. She has embarked on a project of cooking performances, known as “duqqa beats” as a platform to express her love for food and nutritive nourishment.
